Terence or Terrence is a male given name in the English-speaking world. The name derives probably from the Roman family Terentius Gentil noun, whose meaning is unknown. Furthermore, Terence is the English name of the ancient Roman writer Terence (d. 159/158 B.c.)
Theobald is a male given name and family name. He sits out the elements project, derived from the Indo-European root * teuta "People, people", and soon (see, to the present-day English bold) "brave, undaunted" together and came to England with the Normans.
